Zany Southern Television reporter (1979 - 1981) who joined Central in 1982 to present the 'Newshound' slot on 'Central News'.
ATV and Central in-vision continuity announcer, who went on to head up Central's own in-house training company, and has since produced many audio cassettes covering subjects such as how to speak confidently in public. She has also announced for the BBC, and was also one of the Royal Shakespeare Company's players.

One of the original Central announcing crew. Helen still lives in the Midlands. She's married to former Bill actor Ben Roberts. Helen moved behind the camera as a documentary producer for Carlton in Nottingham until 2002. She is now a freelance narrator and producer.

LWT in-vision continuity announcer in the late-1970s and early-1980s. Verity Martindill was a regular continuity face on several other ITV stations, including Southern Television, Central and TVS.
The "Voice Of Central" began his announcing career c.1986 with a distinctive, authoritative yet upbeat style. Always out-of-vision, Ted's announcements became synonymous with the station and an integral part of the on-screen brand. His voice could also be heard on "Announcements For Teachers" on ITV Schools (before it moved to Channel 4).

Ted has been on the announcing team at Five since early-2003.

Former 'Crossroads' actress and continuity announcer in the 1970s and early-1980s for Border Television and Grampian. Daphne has also worked for Central TV, HTV West, and BBC Radio 4.
Terry Pearson was a full-time on-air announcer with Central (later Carlton) Television in Birmingham from 1988 to 2000. He is now working as a freelance actor/presenter on various theatre, television and corporate projects. Terry also runs a website (link below) - Quadbod Media Memorabilia - specialising in original UK quad film posters.

Veteran ATV continuity announcer who joined the company in the 1960s and stayed with its successor, Central, until the mid-1980s. Mike also announced, occasionally, for HTV Wales, HTV West, Thames and Southern Television.

Since leaving the world of continuity announcing, Mike has become a successful television producer and businessman. In the independent production sector, notably with Winchester Entertainment Plc, he was the co-creator and executive producer of 'Jellabies' and 'The Snow Children' and he was also executive producer for 'The Wheels On The Bus'.

In 2003, Mike founded Shangers Ltd, a multimedia and consumer licensing company. He also recently made a brief return to ITV screens in the Midlands, helping to promote the ITV 50 features on 'Central News'.

Continuity announcer for Central TV in the mid-1980s who moved to London Weekend Television to front its 'LWT News' bulletins at the end of the decade. Pam then transferred to Tyne Tees Television to co-anchor 'Northern Life' with Paul Frost. She stayed as main co-anchor on the various incarnations of the programme since then, including 'Tyne Tees Today', 'Tyne Tees News' and, currently, 'North East Tonight'.
Allan was a continuity announcer for Central. In 2008, he was the series producer on 'Through The Keyhole' for BBC Two.
Vivien was a Central TV announcer and news reader in the early-1980s. She was also a daytime continuity announcer for Thames TV and Anglia TV at about the same time.

In 1983, she had a spell as a BBC TV announcer. She was a presenter, BBC Radio 2 in 1980; BBC Radio 2 announcer from 1980 until 1982. She also appeared as relief weather presenter on BBC TV's 'Breakfast Time' in 1988 and as a voice on BBC TV's 'Points Of View' in 1988 - TBC.

A familiar voice to viewers of Channel 4 since 1991. Gary pops up on E4 occasionally and was also heard on Film4 in its early days. He was previously an in-vision announcer for Central, from its launch in 1982.

Stewart's broadcasting career began with a very short pre-programme announcement on the BBC World Service. He went on to work at BBC Radio Brighton and later BBC Radio Derby, where he produced and presented various news and entertainment programmes. He then moved to BRMB Radio in Birmingham where he presented the daily mid morning programme.

Then came the move to television. He was an ATV in-vision announcer, 1979 until 1981, and then a Central TV continuity announcer until he left the company in 1984 to co-present the BBC's 'Look East' from Norwich, where he remains today.

Stewart continues his links with radio, presenting a weekly programme for BBC Radio Norfolk.

Amanda was a regular announcer on Carlton Television in the Midlands until October 2002 and has served with several other ITV regional stations.
